VCC's LMC Series round Litepipe^® is designed for use with both vertical and horizontal surface mount LEDs where the Litepipe^® is attached directly to the display panel. The LMC Series is similar in design to the LPX Series; however, it has a diameter that measures at just 2.54 millimeters (.100"), with a lens diameter of 3.18mm (.125"). This makes it virtually invisible in the panel until the LED is activated. Upon activation of the LED, a LMC will provide a 160° viewing angle and help increase the LED's apparent brightness.  Combining the physical attachment advantage with the fact that the Litepipe^® is available in multiple sizes, the designer now has complete freedom in the positioning of the circuit board within the chassis. These features allow for easy board insertion in final assembly or removal for inspection and repair.

 

These Litepipes^® are tubular in shape, molded from an optical grade of acrylic plastic for clarity with highly polished surfaces for optimum light refraction and transmission.
